My mother’s house burned down in 1971. Thankfully, nobody was seriously hurt in that incident. However, it took a toll on our family and our belongings. That experience launched a career based on the premise that anyone should be able to enjoy the ambiance and warmth of a fireplace without the fear of a house fire.
